Heat Advisory in Effect – Adjusted Solid Waste Pickup Schedule

The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat advisory for the DC region from Monday June 23, 2025 through Thursday June 26, 2025, warning that the heat index could climb over 100 degrees.  Recognizing the unique challenges and hardships that private solid waste and trash collection companies face while performing their essential duties under these temperatures, DLCP is temporarily exempting these companies from the District’s noise control regulations next week between the hours of 5:30am and 7:00am.  This will allow private solid waste and trash companies to begi
