Corporations
Initial Registration
- Domestic for-profit entities: $99
- Domestic non-profit entities: $80
- Foreign for-profit entities: $220
- Foreign non-profit entities: $80
Biennial Reports
- For-profit entities: $300
- Non-profit entities: $80
- Late fee (filed after April 1 of the year due): $100 for-profit, $50 non-profit

Business Licensing
General business license fees are based on term length:
- 6-month license: $49
- 2-year license: $99
- 4-year license: $198
Renewals cost the same as the original license fee. Late renewals are subject to a penalty fee that increases the longer the license goes unrenewed.
Rental Housing Fees (assessed per unit/year - paid in addition to license fees):
- Rental Accommodations Fee: $21.50
- Office of the Tenant Advocate Fee: $3.50 ·
- DC General Fund Fee: $5.00

- Expired - 1st Penalty: $75
- Expired - 2nd Penalty: $75 ·
- Expired – Enforcement: $200

Vending
All vending licenses run for a two-year term.
- Class A, B, C, and D licenses: $99 each
- Employee badge: $55
- Site permit fee: $300 (mobile) or $150 (sidewalk)
Short-Term Rental
- STR License: $99
- Vacation Rental License: $99
Both licenses run for a two-year term.

Special Events

Weights & Measures
Fees are charged per device and vary by class, ranging from $25 for smaller measuring devices up to $1,500 for vehicle scales.
