An eligible District of Columbia Public/Charter Schools may enroll in the Public School Cafeteria Realignment Project which affords it the following benefits:
- All existing licenses would be converted from Restaurant to Public School Cafeteria
- No fees applicable for DCPS/Charter Schools (DC Official Code: § 47–2827, e3)
- All licenses expire on same date every 4 years beginning July 31, 2022
- All license valid for 4-year term
- Auto-renewal by licensing staff prior to expiration date

- Certificate of Occupancy
- Corporate Registration (if applicable)
- DC Health Inspection Report
- Tax Registration & Clean Hands Certificate
